Claude resolves your hostname first and drops the connection if any returned address is not globally routable. Your access log stays empty.
Connectors are IPv4-only. A hostname with an AAAA record and no A record cannot be reached.
A redirect to another host strips the Authorization header, which is why a connector can fail on claude.ai and work in Claude Code.
