Pest 5 TIA reran 0 of 200 tests after a comment edit, 5 after a one-service edit, 50 after any change on the HTTP path, and all 200 after editing phpunit.xml or Pest.php.
TIA needs git and a coverage driver, and without the driver it silently skips; a declaration-only model edit also missed 27 of 30 failures in my lab.
Laravel 12 cannot install the Pest 5 Laravel plugin, which needs Laravel 13.23 or newer, so stay on Pest 4.7 and ask for phpunit/phpunit 13 together with Pest on Laravel 13.
