The Play Age Signals API gives apps an age range and a source tier, never a birth date or document.
The tier can reflect a selfie, ID or credit card check done by Google, so it is not verification-free. Brazil has been live since March 17, 2026 and Texas for new accounts since May 28.
Developers may not use the signal for ads, marketing, profiling or analytics. Google plans global availability by the end of 2026.
