The Pixel 11 price increase is really a RAM shortage

Google's VP of Devices has confirmed price increases across the Pixel 11 lineup ahead of the 12 August Made by Google event in New York.

The stated cause is a memory shortage: the price of 1GB of RAM rose from $2.80 in 2025 to around $12 in 2026, per Morgan Stanley data cited by Google.

Leaks point to roughly a $100 increase per model, with the base Pixel 11 moving from $799 to around $899 and baseline storage doubling to 256GB.
