TypeScript 7.0 is a native Go compiler that makes full builds roughly 8x to 12x faster, and npm now installs it by default.
Legacy options such as baseUrl, target es5 and old moduleResolution values now fail with hard errors, and the types default is empty.
Vue, Angular, Svelte and Astro template tooling must wait for TypeScript 7.1; typescript-eslint can run through the @typescript/typescript6 shim.
